KlangHaus | Sound + Art + Building

The company making worlds we do not imagine
_________________________
Introduction: A live band and a filmmaker are together in their lounge, busy working…
KlangHaus develops a relationship with architecture and the built environment realised as site-responsive promenade performances using cinematic conventions, the psycho-geography of the building and its ghosts.
KlangHaus is a live-art company blending moving image, live music, light, sound-design and staging. The company accentuates and enhances the inherent qualities and idiosyncrasies of buildings, creating radical, affecting, bespoke shows.
From within iconic architecture to unsung spaces; full-on loud or pin-drop quiet – all senses stimulated, KlangHaus creates fully-formed dreamlike worlds, taking the audience on a transformative, visceral and joy-inducing journey.
KlangHaus is a true crossover experience, equally attractive to music, theatre and art audiences.
KlangHaus is a partnership between musicians/artists The Neutrinos and artist/film maker Sal Pittman.
★★★★ ‘the walls of the space and the music are genuinely in dialogue with each other’ Lyn Gardner, The Guardian
Across the last five years KlangHaus have developed work to include agile tour-able shows alongside artist curation and exhibition design.
